Disclosure feat. Eliza Doolittle - You & Me (Baauer Remix)

After the incessantly annoying Harlem Shake, I was wondering what we could expect next from Baauer, and this is it. I am addicted.

Disclosure are British brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence and they produce music that takes you right back to the early Garage scene here in the UK, with influences of House and UK Funky thrown in for good measure. Their energy and enthusiasm that comes across in their music is an obvious indicator of how committed they are to this scene and to the aesthetic of their music.

The original track that was put out 3 weeks ago, around a month ahead of their debut album ‘Settle’ already had the potential to hit clubs and live audiences alike HARD. But Baauer tears it a new one.

Baauer takes this track from strength to strength. The already strong vocals from Eliza Doolittle are given a new lease of life in this remix, they come in hard and fast. Baauer’s overall production is defiantly to be praised, his use of synth and drums are what makes this track stand out so much, it could happily be an original. Granted he has somewhat changed the genre from UK Garage towards Trap, but he has done so with eloquence and respect towards the work that Disclosure put into the original. I would go so far to say that I prefer this to the original.

We have an addictive slice of bassy heaven here, and I can guarantee it will be on repeat for days to come -Oliver.

Disclosure’s debut album ‘Settles’ is out on June 3rd.
Release of this remix is May 21st.

Classic Movies: Now With More Nic Cage

I got tired of Nic Cage always asking me “How am I not in THAT MOVIE!?” So, I decided to insert him into a bunch of classic films.

Joman

I wrote this track after seeing Wall-E in theaters. I found the movie very inspiring, to say the least. so I made this video. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Good gosh, this is beautiful. This song (Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros) is me and Emily’s song. It will be our first dance song at our wedding. The animation of this and everything about this is lovely.
