Ok so I have an external hard drive. I have it formatted so it is split in half - one half formatted for windows (which mac and windows can both read), and one haf for mac (which only mac can read). I have been using the windows half for all my music. however it says it needs repaired, so I’ll have to reformat it, seems like. I copied all the music onto the mac half, and exported all my iTunes playlists.

I’m still terrified to reformat the windows half though. What if something happens to the mac half? What if exporting the playlists doesn’t work when I try to bring everything back into iTunes? Anyone know anything about this that could tell me if I’m ok to give this a go?
